The CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) is one of four experimentsfor the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at CERN. The CMS DAQ(data acquisition) system consists of thousands of PCs connected via network switches. The DAQ group provided online software frameworks to control this complex system and to integrate sub-systems seamlessly. One is a framework/toolkit for distributed control, XDAQ. The other is a configuration and control framework, RCMS. In this talk, the technologies used in the frameworks and the system commissioning status are explained in details.
